Aaron Sluyter, owner of Performance Cars & Trucks NWA, spent two years restoring a 1985 Chevy truck and sold it to the original owner’s granddaughter after she recognized it.
Sluyter found the 1985 Chevy truck’s original bill of sale in the glove box and rebuilt the engine, transmission, brakes and air conditioning, working most weekends and hiring out specialized jobs while preserving original elements.
He and his wife stopped at a Tractor Supply after an afternoon drive and a young woman identified the vehicle; Sluyter verified the name against the bill of sale and agreed to sell the truck for parts cost only. Sluyter posted a five-minute video on the Performance Cars & Trucks NWA account on April 13, which has drawn more than 92,000 views.
