At parking-lot speeds a light tap of the throttle can abruptly engage the electric assist and make the Land Cruiser leap forward, while firm braking activates aggressive regen and a noticeable nose dive, so practicing feathered inputs smooths the ride. There is no EV mode or on-screen battery state-of-charge readout, so drivers must feel the threshold between electric-only and engine assist; with a charged battery very gentle throttle allows short EV-only movement.
