Thatcham Research has ended its long-standing partnership with Euro NCAP and launched its own ADAS field test programme.
The insurer-backed research organisation joined Euro NCAP in 2004 and remained a partner until this split. Euro NCAP crash tests cars and rates them for safety, and the decision coincides with Euro NCAP’s biggest revision to its test protocols since 2009, when it introduced its overall rating system.
