Alpina, now owned by BMW, will launch its first BMW-badged models based on the 7 Series and X7 later this year, with both internal-combustion and potential electric variants under consideration. BMW Group R&D chief Joachim Post confirmed the two models will start “from the top” of the BMW brand.
Post said the cars will follow Alpina’s philosophy of speed, comfort and luxury and be developed alongside BMW’s Neue Klasse updates. Alpina will operate as an exclusive standalone brand distinct from BMW’s M division, offering bespoke options, finely crafted materials and individualised configurations.
