Mercedes‑AMG has confirmed the return of the GT Black Series, to be developed in parallel with its latest-generation GT3 race car and derived from the Concept AMG GT Track Sport. The automaker says the next GT Black Series will be its most extreme yet.
AMG expects the road car to use an updated flat‑plane crank V8 linked to the forthcoming Mythos/CLE project and prototypes show more aggressive aerodynamics and a circuit-focused chassis setup. Developing the GT3 and road car together will let AMG carry over lessons in aerodynamics, cooling and chassis configuration to boost on-track performance.
