The 2027 BMW i3 debuts a digital-forward cabin that moves the driver display to a pillar-to-pillar panoramic screen and introduces a redesigned steering wheel featuring a functional 12 o'clock spoke.
BMW design boss Adrian van Hooydonk says the smaller, flat top-and-bottom wheel let the team place vertical 12 and 6 o'clock spokes for structure while the 9 and 3 o'clock spokes appear to float and house recessed, illuminated controls; the 2027 BMW i3 uses grouped physical buttons under a clear plastic pad and shows speed and battery on the left side of the panoramic cluster.
