2027 Nissan Z Adds Manual to NISMO, Gets GT‑R Brakes and Cooling Upgrades

Nissan is updating the 2027 Nissan Z with design changes to the Sport and Performance trims and, importantly, fitting the range‑topping Z NISMO with a new manual transmission and other track-focused upgrades.

The Nissan Z NISMO receives a NISMO‑specific six‑speed manual with an upgraded clutch, shorter throws and a revised tune for the twin‑turbo 3.0‑liter V6 that keeps output at 420 hp and 384 lb‑ft; it also gains two‑piece iron‑aluminum rotors from the GT‑R that save 19 pounds and improve cooling, while Sport and Performance models get refreshed bumpers, better cooling and aero, a fan‑cooled wireless charger, a new Shinkai Green paint option and a revised fuel tank, with pricing due ahead of the New York auto show.
