Chevy Brings Back the LS6 with a 6.7l, 535‑HP V8 for the 2027 Corvette

Chevrolet is reviving the LS6 name with a new 6.7‑liter naturally aspirated V8 that produces 535 horsepower and replaces the LT2 in the 2027 Corvette Stingray, Grand Sport and Grand Sport X.

The LS6 is an evolution of the LT2, retaining a 4.4‑inch bore while gaining displacement through an 8 mm longer stroke, plus a larger intake plenum, bigger throttle body, updated ECU and a two‑piece water jacket for improved cooling and 13:1 compression.

The engine delivers 520 lb‑ft of torque and a 6,600 rpm redline, the highest torque for any naturally aspirated production V8, and will be built in Flint, Michigan for Corvette applications.
