Finnish conglomerate ASPO marketed a windshield washer fluid called SUPERPISS in the 1970s, a product name that derives from a Finnish colloquialism for the washer pump.
Asunto-osakeyhtiöiden Polttoaine-Osuuskunta was founded in 1929 and later shortened to ASPO; the company expanded from importing coke into chemicals and electronics and today controls businesses including Telko, ESL Shipping and Leipurin.
A 1977 ASPO advertisement described SUPER PISS as containing isopropanol, synthetic tensides and phosphates, saying it was safe for plastics and effective in grimy road conditions. Tekniikan Maailma carried Superpiss mentions from the early 1960s and later noted 1990s tests in which Superpiss performed well and a 1995 knock‑off called PRF Piss Boy scored poorly.
