Occupants of a BMW have been arrested after a viral Instagram video showed the car forcing cyclists off the Pacific Coast Highway in Corona Del Mar, with a passenger splashing a drink and the driver later sending threatening messages to a rider.
Pro biker Luke Fetzer, who posts as sendy_mcgee on Instagram, published the clip showing the BMW driving in the marked bike lane, inching up behind riders until one cyclist had to move onto the sidewalk to avoid being struck.
The video shows the passenger splashing a drink onto Luke Fetzer and discarding a cup before the BMW sped off. Fetzer posted a follow-up saying the incident began earlier, that he squirted water at the stopped car in the heat of the moment, and that he filmed for his safety. The clip quickly accumulated millions of views and prompted arrests, and the driver also messaged Luke Fetzer on Instagram asking to fight.
