Mercedes-Benz Drives Facelifted GLE and GLS, Trials Electric GLC in Las Vegas

Mercedes-Benz invited the author to Las Vegas in October to drive facelifted GLE and GLS prototypes and an electric GLC prototype on desert roads.

At the Wynn valet and in the desert, the camouflaged GLE and GLS revealed outlines of larger, reshaped grilles and new headlights featuring a multi-star motif, while front bumpers remained obscured. Taillights appeared to adopt star elements and could include a light bar across the tailgate, though rear changes seemed more limited.

Mercedes-Benz flew the author to Las Vegas, provided a one-night hotel stay and meals, and organized the drives of the GLC, GLE and GLS prototypes. Both the GLE and GLS remained visually appealing despite being, respectively, eight and nine years old.
