Classic car dealer Bob Evans drove nearly five hours to pick up a red Mustang only to find the seller had raised the price by $11,000, a confrontation Evans recorded on video.
Evans posted the clip as a YouTube Short on Aug. 9, 2025, and it has since drawn about 4.1 million views; Evans says he had spoken by phone with a man named Mike who quoted a starting price and said the seller was negotiable.
When Evans arrived the seller listed the price $11,000 higher than expected; the seller acknowledged the exchange without apology and cited the cost to build the car while an employee named Mike stood nearby.
Viewers flooded the video's comments criticizing the seller's body language and suggesting a possible bait-and-switch or a miscommunication between the seller and the employee.
