Mercedes‑Benz Refreshes GLS for 2027 with Three-Screen Cockpit and Mb.os

Mercedes-Benz revealed a wide-ranging 2027 refresh for the GLS that adds MB.OS software, a pillar-to-pillar glass band with three 12.3-inch displays, and upgraded infotainment and rear-entertainment systems.

The new MB.OS acts as the vehicle’s central computer, integrating infotainment, driver-assistance functions and over-the-air updates while hosting a Microsoft-powered AI digital assistant. The Superscreen evolution is standard on every GLS and includes an onboard app store with streaming apps like YouTube and Disney+ plus productivity apps such as Meetings for Teams that can use the vehicle camera.

Google Maps now underpins built-in navigation and Mercedes-Benz adds an MBUX Augmented Navigation head-up display that projects arrows and lane guidance onto the windshield. Rear passengers gain two 11.6-inch screens with remotes that can adjust massage seat settings and enable video calls via integrated cameras, and Mercedes-Benz demonstrated crisp graphics and responsive performance during a preview event in Málaga.
