Kia Unveils 2027 Seltos for U.S. with Three Powertrains; Hybrid Arrives Later This Year

Kia unveiled the 2027 Seltos for the U.S., offering three powertrains and confirming the Seltos Hybrid will arrive later this year.

The Seltos will offer a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 147 hp and a CVT across LX, S, EX and X-Line trims (FWD standard, AWD optional), a 190-hp turbocharged 1.6-liter in X-Line with standard AWD, and a 1.6-liter hybrid paired to a six-speed automatic with FWD standard and an available electric AWD system.

Kia said the U.S. Seltos features Telluride-inspired styling, a 2.4-inch longer wheelbase, up to 8.1 inches of ground clearance, revised wheel options and interior updates including a stalk-mounted shifter and increased rear legroom.

The Seltos includes a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, up to 64.1 cu ft of cargo behind the first row, debuts at the New York Auto Show and will go on sale in the U.S. within roughly three months.
