Kia unveiled the U.S. version of the second‑generation 2027 Seltos at the New York Auto Show.
The new Seltos adopts Kia's extroverted design with boxy proportions, flush door handles, vertical amber daytime running lights and nearly connected vertical taillights. Kia says the wheelbase grows by 2.4 inches and ground clearance reaches up to 8.1 inches.
The lineup includes LX, S, EX and the top‑of‑line X‑Line, with 16‑inch wheels standard and 18‑ or 19‑inch options on X‑Line. Powertrains continue to offer a naturally aspirated 2.0‑liter four paired to a CVT and a 1.6‑liter turbo that makes 190 horsepower with an eight‑speed automatic and standard all‑wheel drive on X‑Line.
Kia is adding a 1.6‑liter turbo hybrid with a six‑speed dual‑clutch and the brand's e‑AWD system, due near year‑end. Interior updates include a 12.3‑inch digital gauge cluster, available 12.3‑inch infotainment screen, a 5.0‑inch climate display, a column‑mounted electronic shifter on higher trims, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
