Chrysler is recalling 178,246 2022–2026 Pacifica and Voyager minivans over curtain airbags that may not retain sufficient pressure during deployment, which could increase the risk of an occupant being ejected through a side window in certain crashes.
The voluntary recall covers roughly 30 percent of Pacifica and Voyager models and follows earlier Stellantis recalls in May and September related to curtain-airbag issues.
Chrysler said it discovered a manufacturing issue in March affecting additional curtain airbags that may not comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, and Chrysler will begin notifying owners within the month.
Chrysler will replace one or both curtain airbags at no charge, and the recall report lists no known injuries, accidents, or deaths related to the defect.
