Subaru will launch the 2027 Getaway, a three-row, seven-seat electric SUV that shares its battery pack and motors with the Toyota Highlander EV.

Initial specifications include a dual-motor layout with a 95.8-kWh lithium-ion battery, 420 horsepower and an estimated range of more than 300 miles, plus an NACS charge port and a 150 kW maximum charging rate.

Subaru says the Getaway offers 8.3 inches of ground clearance, an X-Mode traction system with Snow/Dirt and Deep Snow/Mud modes, Grip Control and downhill assist, and a 3,500-pound tow rating; Subaru also cites 0–60 mph in under five seconds.

The interior has a 12.3-inch instrument display, a 14.0-inch central touchscreen, flexible second-row seating and up to 45.6 cubic feet of cargo with the third row folded, and Subaru plans to begin sales late this year.
