Subaru unveiled the three-row Getaway electric SUV at the 2026 New York auto show. The Getaway joins Subaru’s expanding EV lineup as a family-focused three-row model.
The Getaway shares its platform, styling and interior with the Toyota Highlander EV but is offered only as a dual-motor all-wheel-drive model producing 420 horsepower versus the Highlander EV AWD's 338 horsepower. Subaru said initial models use a 96-kWh battery pack aimed at more than 300 miles of range, with a 77-kWh standard-range version to follow.
A North American Charging Standard (NACS) port is standard and Subaru stated a 150-kW connection can recharge the battery from 10 to 80 percent in about 30 minutes. The cabin features three-row seating, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a 14.0-inch center touchscreen and three trims—Premium, Limited and Touring—with comprehensive driver-assistance tech.
