Toprak Razgatlioglu, a Pramac Racing rider, scored his first MotoGP point by finishing 15th for Yamaha at the United States Grand Prix in Austin in his third MotoGP weekend after moving from the World Superbike Championship, overtaking Fabio Quartararo, the 2021 champion and Yamaha factory rider, with three laps remaining.
The result opened the 2026 points tally for Pramac and ensured Yamaha did not leave Austin empty-handed, with Razgatlioglu outgunning his Yamaha team-mates to be the top M1 on race day.
Razgatlioglu said he was pleased to get a point but was concerned after finishing about 25 seconds behind race winner Marco Bezzecchi, citing front-tyre locking, braking difficulties and heavy bike feel after 12–14 laps.
He noted encouraging early form, including a direct Q2 appearance at the returning Brazilian Grand Prix, but said Yamaha's switch to a V4 engine for 2026 has left the manufacturer further off the pace and he did not know when competitiveness will return.
