Verstappen to Race Nürburgring 24h Qualifiers with Lucas Auer After F1 Cancellations

Max Verstappen, Red Bull Racing driver and four-time Formula 1 champion, will compete in the 24h Qualifiers at the Nürburgring‑Nordschleife on April 18-19.

Verstappen will race alongside Lucas Auer, Austrian racing driver, in two four‑hour races — one Saturday evening and one on Sunday. The cancellations of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian F1 rounds due to the Iran conflict freed his Red Bull Formula 1 schedule and enabled the entry.

The 24h Qualifiers use the full 25.378km Nordschleife loop and Race 1 is scheduled to finish at 21:30 CET, allowing up to an hour of night running after the 20:30 sunset. Verstappen recently completed a film and test day in a Winward Mercedes‑AMG GT3 at the Eifel track and commented, "Fast on the Nordschleife. Really enjoyed it out there," while Jules Gounon and Daniel Juncadella will be unavailable as they compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship at Imola.
