Subaru Getaway EV Interior Adds Leather and Unique Seats While Sharing Highlander Software and Large Screens

The 2027 Subaru Getaway mirrors the Toyota Highlander’s architecture and software while adding leather options and unique hex-pattern seat detailing to create a more upscale interior.

Inside, Subaru keeps the Highlander’s dashboard, center console, toggle-switch shifter and dual-screen layout but offers leather where Toyota uses synthetic upholstery, giving the Getaway a different tactile feel.

The Subaru Getaway features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.0-inch center touchscreen running Toyota’s user interface, with 5G connectivity for over-the-air updates, app downloads and data.

Beyond the leather option, the second-row captain’s chairs and other seats have an embossed hexagonal pattern in the perforated inserts, and all software improvements on the Highlander will transfer to the Subaru Getaway.
