ZF revealed two new features — AI Road Sense and Active Noise Reduction — within its Chassis 2.0 strategy at CES, using AI, sensors and software to adjust suspension and noise control in real time.
AI Road Sense uses data from a vehicle’s existing sensors and ZF’s Cubix chassis software to predict road surface conditions, adjust damping torque distribution and continuously reconfigure the chassis to improve safety and comfort. Cubix also runs a Driver Behaviour Recognition function to analyse driver inputs and set comfort preferences.
ZF offers Standard, Advanced and Premium configurations for carmaker customers, with Standard relying on on‑board data, Advanced adding camera-based surface detection and Premium including lidar that scans up to 25 metres ahead. These packages can be adapted to suit different vehicle sizes.
