BMW M3 EV Spied with Four-Motor Setup and 100–108.7 kWh M Battery

BMW has been spied testing a prototype expected to be the forthcoming electric M3, with leaked images showing aggressive Neue Klasse styling and BMW confirming a four-motor layout and a 100.0–108.7 kWh M-specific battery.

Spy photos shared on Instagram by the Wilcoblok account show a sedan with a redesigned front end, a diamond-pattern lower grille, a large central air intake, additional blocky lighting units and a prominent black hood intake.

BMW confirmed the electric M3 will use one motor per wheel and a unique high-capacity battery; rumors suggest output could top 1,300 hp but BMW has not confirmed power figures. Production is expected to begin in early 2027, and BMW will continue to offer a combustion M3 alongside the new EV.
