Royal Enfield will launch the Flying Flea C6 electric motorcycle in India on April 10, with plans for a later global rollout that includes North America.
Local publications such as Evo India have published specifications showing Royal Enfield positions the C6 as an affordable, retro-styled urban commuter, while reporting a limited real-world range.
Royal Enfield says the Flying Flea program took many years, involved more than 200 engineers, and was developed mostly in-house, and the C6 will be followed by a scrambler-style S6 model.
Royal Enfield is entering a large Indian electric motorcycle market where compact EVs are commonly used for daily commutes. Royal Enfield plans to expand availability beyond India after the April launch.
