Mini’s Oxford-Built John Cooper Works Convertible Showcases Factory Two-Tone Customization

Mini unveiled a one-off John Cooper Works Convertible built at its Oxford production plant featuring a hand-sprayed, inverse two-tone midnight black and custom-tinted metallic green exterior.

The factory-built vehicle includes green stitching, painted belt covers, custom accent bands and a bespoke MINI.01 badge motif, and the Oxford Plant team collaborated with Mini designers on the project; it is not a wrap or an aftermarket conversion.

Kate Alini, head of marketing, product, and strategy at Mini USA, said, "Our owners see their MINI as more than just a car, and for many, it becomes a canvas for self-expression shaped into a true reflection of their personality." Mini-only website Motoring File wrote that the car "feels like one of those moments" and suggested it may signal expanded factory customization.
