Spy photos have captured a mostly undisguised prototype of the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, revealing knobby Nexen Roadian ATX all‑terrain tires, camouflaged front and rear bumpers and a taped Trailhawk badge outline.
The test mule is fitted with 245/65R‑17 Nexen Roadian ATX rubber, similar to tires used on the Jeep Recon electric SUV though the Recon's tires are taller and run on 18‑inch wheels. Camouflage covering the bumpers and visible Velcro patches suggest improved approach and departure angles and a bumper layout akin to the Cherokee Upland concept, which showed tow hooks at both ends.
Jeep has not officially confirmed a Trailhawk version of the new Cherokee, but the spy photos and the Upland concept strongly indicate a rugged Trailhawk trim is coming; Car and Driver's report says a production reveal could arrive later this year.
