Ford Cuts Explorer and Capri EV Prices up to £5,000 After Range and Kit Upgrades

Ford has cut prices on its Explorer and Capri electric SUVs by roughly £4,035 to £5,070 across specs while increasing standard equipment and boosting Standard Range battery range by about 43 miles.

The rear‑drive 58kWh Explorer Style now starts at £35,185 and the 77kWh Explorer Premium is priced under £50,000, down from nearly £54,000, while the Capri 58kWh Style now starts at £36,985.

Autocar reported that industry insiders are worried the price cuts could hit used-car values, and a senior remarketing industry source said one-year, 10,000-mile Explorer values had fallen nearly 9% since December 2025.

Ford said the moves respond to a "highly competitive EV market"; the company also added updated Sync infotainment, uprated adaptive cruise, a reversing assistant, driver monitoring and a 2.3kW three‑pin outlet.
