Uber Expands $4,000 Go Electric EV Grant to Eligible Platinum and Diamond Drivers Nationwide

Uber is offering a $4,000 Go Electric grant to Platinum- and Diamond-status drivers who switch to a personally owned electric vehicle and complete 100 eligible rides by December 31, pending application approval.

The program, initially limited to California, Massachusetts, Colorado and New York City, expanded nationwide; drivers must apply and be approved before switching, add an EV within 90 days of confirmation, and not have previously added a personally owned EV.

Applications can be submitted online and will begin processing on April 16; Kelley Blue Book said the grant is designed to help offset the removal of the $7,500 federal tax credit and to advance Uber’s target of an all-electric fleet by 2030.

Uber Pro Gold, Platinum and Diamond drivers can save up to 45% at 850 EVgo chargers, and Kia offers discounts—$1,000 on the Niro EV or EV6 and $1,500 on the EV9—plus Kia Finance America offers financing up to 66 months for qualified Uber and Lyft drivers.
