Corey Heim Leads NASCAR Truck Series Despite Limited Starts, Needs Waiver for Title Eligibility

Corey Heim, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver, leads the series standings after five races despite competing in only three events and currently requires a NASCAR waiver to be eligible for the championship.

Heim told SiriusXM NASCAR Radio he is not actively pursuing a second consecutive championship, saying he has a limited schedule, will race at Bristol and that recent wins have attracted sponsor interest as his team explores adding events.

Kaden Honeycutt, a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver, is the nominal points leader on paper; Heim’s No. 1 truck lists Jerame Donley as crew chief and a Bristol victory would net Heim a combined $500,000 for sweeping the Triple Truck Challenge.

Heim’s 2026 program includes starts across the three national touring divisions for 23XI Racing, Sam Hunt Racing and Tricon, plus several Late Model Stock races for Nelson Motorsports.
