Indian Motorcycle FTR Discontinued After Polaris Discloses Q4 Wind-Down

Polaris Industries said it began winding down the Indian Motorcycle FTR product line in the fourth quarter of 2024 after weak sales, effectively discontinuing the FTR street tracker.

The disclosure appeared in Polaris’ Q4 2024 and full-year 2024 financial report rather than as a standalone press release, and Indian Motorcycle responded that sales were weak. Dealers report that new 2024 FTR stock remains unsold and the Indian Motorcycle website still lists the model.

Dealers and riders told the article’s author that the FTR’s 2024 price range — $13,499 to $18,499 before dealer fees — limited demand despite the bike’s modern street-tracker positioning.

Polaris reported overall powersports sales fell sharply in 2024, and Indian Motorcycle is now under the control of private equity firm Carolwood LP; Polaris did not release FTR production figures.
