Halmar Friesen Racing’s Christopher Bell Claims Bristol Truck Series Win

Halmar Friesen Racing’s truck driven by driver Christopher Bell won the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway, marking Bell’s first Truck Series victory since 2017.

Stewart Friesen, co-owner of Halmar Friesen Racing with Chris Larsen, told Motorsport.com he was "unbelievable" about Bell's win and said the team's relationship with Bell and Toyota made the result especially meaningful.

Christopher Bell said the victory belonged to the team, calling Truck Series starts a hobby and praising Halmar Friesen Racing's mechanics, crew chiefs and truck crews; Bell also noted he first filled in for Friesen at Watkins Glen after Friesen's injury in Quebec.

Stewart Friesen had expressed frustration with the Truck Series about a year ago after a Rockingham crash and missed the remainder of the season following the Quebec injury, but he said Friday's win was "icing on the cake" and a reward for the team's work.
