Lancia claimed its first WRC2 victory since returning to the World Rally Championship when driver Yohan Rossel won the WRC2 class at the Croatia Rally in the Lancia Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale.
Rossel finished fourth overall while securing the WRC2 win, and Lancia’s other factory-backed driver Nikolay Gryazin recovered from a loose turbo boost pipe to take third in WRC2, underlining the car’s pace.
Lancia Corse team principal Didier Clement described the result as "exceptional" and said the pace and reliability bode well for the Canary Islands Rally next week. Yohan Rossel said the rally was "fantastic" for the team and expressed optimism about Lancia’s return to the WRC.
