Lepas will launch the L6 crossover in the UK late this year, offering plug-in hybrid and battery-electric versions aimed at the Hyundai Kona segment.
The PHEV uses a 204bhp 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with an electric motor and an 18.3kWh battery, with Lepas claiming 700 miles of combined range though electric-only distance is unspecified; the Jaecoo 7 offers 56 miles of electric range. The battery-electric L6 uses a new 67kWh pack for 270 miles and can rapid-charge from 30–80% in 20 minutes, up from the 61kWh/257-mile/28-minute spec of Jaecoo and Omoda E5 cousins.
Interior details have not been confirmed, but Lepas's larger L8 features a portrait 13.2in infotainment screen, physical climate controls and a wireless phone charger. Lepas UK MD Ray Wang said the L6 "marks an exciting step for our brand in Europe and the UK market", and pricing and trims will be revealed nearer the car's late-year arrival.
