Ford confirmed the next-generation F-150 will arrive by 2029.
The automaker created a Product Creation and Industrialization organization to support what it calls a “massive portfolio renewal” and says it will refresh 80% of its North American lineup by volume by 2029, including a new Super Duty and a mid-size electric truck on the Universal Electric Vehicle platform.
Reports from February 2025 said production would start in 2027, but Ford delayed the schedule and now expects production in 2028. The current 14th-generation F-150 has been on sale since 2020 and the Super Duty arrived for 2023.
Chevrolet plans to introduce its next-generation Silverado 1500 later this year, which will compete directly with Ford’s F-150 as Ford pursues the lineup refresh.
