Airlines Ticket Airport-To-Airport Bus Trips Through The Landline Company

Passengers booking with American Airlines, Air Canada or Sun Country Airlines can be routed onto The Landline Company's airport-to-airport buses that are ticketed and marketed as "flights" with flight numbers, TSA processing and frequent-flier credit.

The Landline Company operates "luxury buses" serving Denver, Minneapolis, Chicago, Philadelphia and Toronto, and American Airlines told The Washington Post it has offered the service since 2022 mainly for connecting itineraries; United ended its Landline routes in July.

The Washington Post interviewed passengers and highlighted a viral TikTok by 27-year-old Kennedy Woodard-Jones showing she boarded an American Airlines-branded motor coach at South Bend instead of a jet. Travelers are advised to check the listed aircraft and operating airline when booking; American's site displays a bus icon and notes "operated by The Landline Company as American Eagle" with "includes travel on luxury bus."
