First-time 2026 starter driver Oscar Piastri jumped from third to the early lead but settled for second after two DNSs to start the year, while driver Charles Leclerc completed the podium in third.
Driver George Russell finished fourth and reigning champion driver Lando Norris placed fifth as McLaren recorded a double top-five following their slow start to the season.
Driver Kimi Antonelli said he had a "terrible start," credited a fortunate safety car interruption and plans to work on his starts during the upcoming three-week break.
