BMW I7 M70 Packs at Least Five Interior Ways to Open Doors, Review Shows

BMW lent a fully charged 2026 i7 M70 for a week and the car features at least five different ways to open its doors from the inside.

Two methods are likely to see the most use: the door latch popper button on the door card armrest and an automatic electronic door opener on the dashboard near the leftmost vent controls, with a matching control for the front passenger.

The electric popper unlatches the door and users feel slight resistance from an electric motor, while the dashboard control is a touch-sensitive panel that commands the door to swing open fully and was noted as easy to activate accidentally. BMW's 2026 i7 M70 also includes massage seats and a 1,965-watt, 39-speaker Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound system, and the car's $192,075 price equates to roughly $38,415 per door-opening method based on five procedures.
