Brawn GP’s BGP 001 Trio Reunited at Goodwood as Jenson Button Drives Championship Car

All three Brawn BGP 001 chassis were brought together for the first time at the Goodwood Members' Meeting, where Jenson Button, the 2009 drivers' champion with Brawn GP, drove one of the cars.

The Brawn GP team secured eight grand prix wins, 15 podiums and five pole positions in its only 2009 season, with Button claiming the drivers' title and Rubens Barrichello finishing third. Ross Brawn, who had been Honda team principal, bought the Honda Racing F1 Team for £1 after Honda withdrew in 2008, and Brawn GP was sold to Mercedes in November 2009.

Jenson Button said he was excited to make his Members' Meeting debut and last drove the BGP 001 in 2019; he also drove a Chevrolet Camaro Z28 and a Jaguar E-type at Goodwood, with Goodwood Road & Racing noting his Camaro practice run.
