A Cheapism price survey of four major auto-parts chains found O'Reilly Auto Parts the least expensive overall, and social media user Luke Fischer posted a video claiming NAPA Auto Parts is too expensive.
Cheapism compared prices at NAPA Auto Parts, AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts and O'Reilly across a wide basket including wiper blades, batteries, alternators, fuel pumps and clutch sets. The outlet noted there is no single winner in every category and that prices vary enough that shoppers still benefit from comparing parts.
NAPA Auto Parts operates on an independent ownership model, which NAPA's corporate blog says lets individual owners set prices and can produce meaningful price differences between separate stores. Luke Fischer filmed his white Chevrolet K2500 and overlaid the caption "Napa way too expensive for the same thing" while the Cheapism findings suggest O'Reilly generally lands lower on price.
