Chevrolet Camaro Could Return on Cadillac CT5 Platform, Report Says

General Motors will reportedly build a new Chevrolet Camaro on the same platform that underpins the next-generation Cadillac CT5, with production slated to begin in fall 2027, Automotive News reports.

Automotive News cited a source at a major GM supplier saying the automaker plans a new Buick sedan on the same architecture and expects to produce roughly 60,000 to 70,000 CT5 and Camaro vehicles.

Cadillac currently builds the CT5 and CT4 at the Grand River Assembly plant in Lansing, Michigan, and production of the smaller CT4 is scheduled to end in June, a timing detail noted in the report.

The sixth-generation Chevrolet Camaro ended production in 2023 and a 2025 report said General Motors had previously dismissed a revival proposal; this new timeline would be the first firm report suggesting a Camaro return.
