Chevrolet Recalls 32,988 2025–2026 Corvettes Over Turn-Signal Software Defect

Chevrolet has recalled 32,988 2025 and 2026 Corvette models and issued a stop-sale after a software defect prevents detection of rear turn-signal failures.

General Motors discovered the problem during testing for the 2027 model-year Corvette and traced it to an October 2024 software change by a rear-lamp supplier meant to assist a TPMS learn process.

The supplier change inadvertently prevented the exterior lighting control module from detecting a failed rear turn signal in certain circumstances. FMVSS No. 108 requires turn-signal lamp failures to be indicated by a steady on, steady off, or a significant change in flashing rate.

The recall covers Stingray, E-Ray hybrid and ZR1X trims while excluding the Z06 and standard ZR1, according to the recall document.
