Chrysler Recalls 178,246 Pacifica and Voyager Minivans for Side Curtain Airbag Defect

Chrysler is recalling 178,246 2022–2026 Pacifica and Voyager minivans because their side curtain airbags may fail to retain sufficient pressure when deployed and could fail to properly restrain occupants.

Documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration show about 30 percent of the recall population is expected to have the defective curtain airbags; Chrysler will replace the faulty modules with units that retain proper pressure, replacing the passenger-side CAB, driver-side CAB, or both as needed.

Chrysler will notify dealers on April 2 and will send owner notification letters May 14–19, with affected VINs searchable on the NHTSA recalls page from April 2 for owners to check eligibility.

Vehicles built before the suspected production period or already covered by two earlier recalls for a similar curtain-airbag issue are excluded from this action.
