Expedition Motor Company (EMC) has unveiled the Camouflage Wolf, a restomod based on a 1991 Mercedes-Benz W461 250GD Wolf that replaces the original diesel with a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 rated near 430 horsepower.
The donor truck originally used an OM602 diesel engine estimated at about 90 horsepower, and EMC's conversion also adds Bilstein suspension, a Sweetgrass-colored interior and oak trim to emphasize its military-inspired look.
EMC lists a starting price of roughly $185,000, with the LS3 V8 available as a $55,000 upgrade; Motor1 noted the engine and transmission parts for the swap total about $22,000. The pricing underlines the high labor and customization costs typical of restomod builds.
