Driver Emerson Newton-John will return to racing in the SRO GT4 America round at Circuit of The Americas (April 25-27), co-driving a Mercedes-AMG GT4 for Mad Joker Racing in partnership with Lone Star Racing.
Emerson Newton-John last raced in 2015 and has had multi-year gaps in his career after losing financial backing following the events of September 11, 2001; he tested a Radical SR10 in 2024 ahead of this comeback.
The entry pairs Newton-John with Marc Austin, team owner, and uses an entry engineered by Lone Star Racing; Austin earned a third-place GSX result and Bronze Cup honors in IMSA’s VP Racing SportsCar Challenge at COTA in February.
Newton-John said the drive opportunity grew out of conversations arranged by his business partner and a successful test at Motorsport Ranch in Cresson, Texas.
