Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton ‘Fired up’ After Stronger 2026 Start, Says Nigel Mansell

Former F1 world champion Nigel Mansell praised seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton's improved start to the 2026 season with Ferrari, saying Hamilton is "fired up again" after a difficult debut year at Maranello. Mansell made the comments to Sky Sports News.

Hamilton joined Ferrari in 2025 after a 12-year stint with Mercedes and currently sits fourth in the drivers' standings with 41 points following a podium in China and fourth and sixth-place finishes in Australia and Japan.

Mansell added that Ferrari had "done a fabulous job" over the winter and said Mercedes remain the forerunners while McLaren is likely to be competitive this season.

Lewis Hamilton marked his 20th F1 season on Instagram, writing that he is "still standing, still hungry, still focused on the dream" after two decades of highs and lows.
