Cincinnati-area TikTok creator John Tuparelli says a mechanic's claim that "we checked everything" preceded a $1,329.30 repair on his 2015 Ford Flex that failed to stop the car's stalling.
Tuparelli said he brought the Ford Flex in because it stalled at red lights and stop signs and was told a failing high-pressure fuel pump was the cause; the pump part cost about $900. He says the mechanic reassured him the shop had done a full diagnostic, but the Flex stalled worse after the repair and was towed back to the garage.
Tuparelli alleges he never received a complete diagnostic invoice, only a receipt listing the high-pressure pump, a diagnostic test and labor, and later obtained a shop document showing only four fuel-system checks. The mechanic then told him the issue was a $55 low-pressure fuel sensor, and Tuparelli consulted his brother-in-law, a certified master mechanic, about the discrepancy.
Tuparelli posted the dispute on TikTok (username johnnytuparelli), the video has more than 49,000 views, and he says he has sought legal help to pursue the matter.
