Ford to Reopen Mustang GTD Applications April 17

Ford will reopen applications for the Mustang GTD on April 17, with interested buyers able to register for a reminder on Ford's website, according to Ford Authority.

Ford says it will continue building the Mustang GTD for the next three years. The GTD features a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 rated at 815 hp and 664 lb‑ft, 50‑50 weight distribution, adaptive spool‑valve dampers, a rear pushrod setup, extensive carbon‑fiber bodywork and a roughly $300,000 starting price.

Ford uses an application process to select customers for the Mustang GTD, and the April 17 opening coincides with the Mustang's 62nd anniversary of its 1964 debut. Interested buyers should sign up on Ford.com to receive a notice ahead of the application window.
