Ford Spotlights 1980 Montana Lobo Bronco Concept with Bubble Doors

Ford has highlighted the 1980 Montana Lobo Bronco concept on Instagram, a Ghia-collaborated, first-generation Bronco-based show vehicle that featured removable plexiglass bubble doors, T-tops, integrated bed storage and side exhausts.

The Montana Lobo was powered by a 5.0-liter V8 with automatic transmission and four-wheel drive, rode on 15-inch wheels, and measured 188.9 inches long with a 107.3-inch wheelbase; its interior used a digital instrument cluster from the 1980 Thunderbird and included heated, ventilated seats and a hemp-lined bed, though Ford did not carry the Lobo’s bubble doors into production Bronco models.
