Haas F1: Komatsu Says Oliver Bearman Has “No Ceiling” After Strong Early 2026 Form

Haas F1 team principal Ayao Komatsu said he "doesn't see the ceiling" with driver Oliver Bearman after the British rookie's performances have pushed Haas to fourth in the early 2026 constructors' standings.

Oliver Bearman has scored 17 of Haas's 18 points so far with a seventh place in Australia and a fifth in China, and he leads teammate Esteban Ocon 3-1 in qualifying across the opening races; Bearman was later involved in a high-speed crash with Alpine's Franco Colapinto at the Japanese Grand Prix.

Ayao Komatsu praised Bearman's raw speed, rapid learning and his teamwork in the simulator and factory, calling the Ferrari loanee "extremely impressive" and saying the driver's adaptability makes his ceiling hard to spot.
