Hans-Joachim Stuck to Return Porsche 911 T to the Road Ahead of Sebring

Hans-Joachim Stuck, two-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner and three-time 12 Hours of Sebring winner, told reporters ahead of this year's 12 Hours of Sebring that his five-year-old Porsche 911 T, fitted with a PDK, will be back on the road on Monday.

Stuck recalled success in the Porsche 962 at Sebring and credited engineers Norbert Singer and Roland Kussmaul for setups that prioritized driver safety and reliability, which allowed him to focus on high-speed racing.

He described Sebring as a bumpy, adventurous circuit that demanded caution in Group C and GTP days, saying crews ran at roughly 75–80 percent to save engines, gearboxes and brakes. Stuck recalled losing a wheel in the 1986 12-hour race but said his team still won by eight laps.
